Darina Elencheva

Born and raised in Burgas, Darina’s curiosity and international outlook were shaped early on through her studies at the Goethe Gymnasium and the British Cultural Center. That set her on an academic and professional journey that would take her across multiple European countries.

Now based in Amsterdam, Darina brings over 15 years of global experience at the intersection of strategy, operations, and sustainability. She has worked across consumer-facing sectors including variety and optical retail, real estate asset management, and building materials distribution, helping organisations navigate complexity and change in a constantly evolving world.

Darina advises boards and executive teams and takes on fractional leadership roles, working closely with people to embed sustainability into strategy, governance, and organisational culture. Known for her pragmatic and human-centred approach, she translates complex environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges into clear, actionable business decisions.

As co-founder of the sustainable link & co. and Futures & Sustainability, she supports organisations in driving transformation that is not only future-ready, but also meaningful and value-creating.
