Galina Simeonova

Galina Simeonova is a creative director with over 15 years of professional experience in graphic design, UI/UX design, branding, and digital advertising, with a strong focus on user experience in web environments. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia and a Master’s degree in Art, specialising in Graphic Design and Visual Communication.

Despite her formal education, Galina considers herself largely self-educated. She believes design is not simply taught, but cultivated—through curiosity, practice, personal growth, and, most importantly, failure. Design evolves with personality, and personality evolves through design.

Throughout her career, Galina has worked with businesses and organisations worldwide across diverse fields, including entertainment, international marketing, education, law, and charity. Currently, she is Head of Design at Agile Digital Agency and Sofyma Web Agency, where she leads projects ranging from marketing websites, applications, games, and e-commerce platforms to complex, tailor-made digital tools.

Galina’s support for the mission of North Star Bulgaria Foundation is deeply personal. She strongly believes that two factors fundamentally shape a young person’s development: access to information and mentorship, and the physical and psychological environment in which they grow. Unfortunately, in Bulgaria—especially within marginalized communities—these essentials are often lacking. Addressing this gap, she believes, is a shared responsibility.

Raised by an English teacher and educator, Galina had early access to language learning and diverse perspectives. This enabled her to self-educate, think critically, and make informed decisions throughout her life. Equally important, she learned how vital mental and physical well-being are as the foundation for all other achievements.

For these reasons, Galina wholeheartedly supports North Star Bulgaria Foundation’s holistic approach—integrating education, sports, psychological support, mentorship, and art. By providing children with the right environment and guidance, the foundation empowers them not only to succeed academically, but to grow into balanced, resilient individuals who know how to care for themselves and choose the right paths forward.
