Petko Petkov

Hello,

My name is Petko Petkov and I am a Co-Founder and CEO of the “North Star Bulgaria” Foundation.

I hold multiple degrees in Political Science & Sociology, Public & Private PR, Macro & Micro Business Management and Child Psychology & Working with Families.

I have worked for the British Cultural Centre, a private English Language School located in Burgas, Bulgaria for the past 15 years as a teacher, a Child Psychologist and as Deputy-Director.

Our work with the children of Burgas and their families has inspired me and the other Co-Founders & Partners of the Foundation to go beyond what an English language school can do.

We want to create an environment that nurtures and helps children to grow and develop their gifts and their interests, we want to create a space that is available to every child that wants to pursue their dreams in both academia, technology, art or sports.

We want to start a ripple effect in the region with the use of STEM educational practices and laboratories that will spark the interest and the passion of children and place them onto a scientific path.

We want to create and artistic space where the children of Burgas can freely show off their boundless talents in music, art, literature and dance.

We want to encourage the children of Burgas and the region to pursue sports and to embrace a healthy life style by connecting them with like-minded athletes and instructors of the region and encourage them to pursue their dreams no matter how large or distant they might seem to be.

We have so many dreams, so many passionate visions of what the future of the children of Burgas and the region should be and with the “North Star Bulgaria” Foundation we believe we can turn them all into reality!
